I just used watercolor on this butterfly and flower. It was quite a rainy day, so I had some time to paint today.

This is a scribble...I was trying to quickly draw something before H gets here with K and so I just had a small amount of time to try anything.

This was from a photograph I took in Mendocino of a weathered garage. The problem here is I used transparent watercolors on a canvas paper and the coverage wouldn't stay. If I added another element of color, it would pick up what I had already put down. Also, I use a black ink pen that on regular watercolor paper doesn't run when water is painted over it. On canvas paper it gets wet and smears. So that's all the excuses I can think of right now. ;)

I'm grabbing pictures out of a photo album from a vacation up north and picking ones I'd like to draw. This was a plant that was sitting on a deck outside our room at the Sea Ranch resort. It had rained and things were wet, including the wood decks.
